What We Believe
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
— Galatians 2:20
- 01
Holy Scripture
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the wholly inspired, inerrant Word of God — the word of life and the way of salvation — the supreme authority in all matters of faith and life.
- 02
The Triune God
We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three co-equal and co-eternal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- 03
God the Father
We believe God the Father is the Creator of all things, possessing the attributes of omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence, holiness, righteousness, love, and unchanging eternity.
- 04
God the Son, Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, incarnate Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary; crucified for the sins of humanity, reconciling us to God; bodily risen on the third day; now seated at the right hand of the Father; and returning to judge the living and the dead.
- 05
God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, grants repentance and regeneration, indwells believers, leads into all truth, and empowers sanctification and service.
- 06
Humanity and Salvation
We believe humanity was created in the image of God but fell through sin and falls short of the glory of God; only by God's grace, through faith in Christ and repentance, is one born again and granted eternal life.
- 07
The Church
We believe the universal Church is the Body of Christ, comprising all the redeemed; the local church is the gathering of believers for worship, the Word, the sacraments, and mutual edification.
- 08
Last Things and the Return of Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will personally return to raise the dead and judge the living and the dead; the faithful will enter the new heaven and new earth and dwell with God forever.
